Fire Damage Restoration
Residential Fire Damage
A fire broke out in the attached garage of a high-value custom home located in a Cleveland suburb.
The fire damage extended to all levels of the home, including the basement, main level, second floor, and finished attic.
DANE Contractors were enlisted to carry out the phase one restoration service for the residence.
Fire Damage Assessment
The garage and breezeway, which suffered the most damage, underwent demolition down to the concrete slab. Subsequently, the slab was removed and regraded.
Media Blasting Treatment
Given that the fire occurred several months ago, dry ice blasting was deemed the most effective cleaning method to restore the salvaged framing members to their original condition. This ice blasting treatment effectively removed both the soot/smoke residues and any lingering microbial growth that developed during the compromised period.
The restoration process involved the removal of all contents, surgical demolition of all affected building materials and mechanicals, dry ice blasting of salvaged framing to restore them to their pre-loss condition, followed by the application of perma seal to provide a smoke and odor guarantee.
