Restoring Operations After Disaster at Industrial Compound
On September 22nd, a significant industrial fire impacted a multi-building industrial compound in Cleveland, Ohio, causing extensive damage and halting operations.
Before embarking on restoration efforts at this sprawling manufacturing facility, DANE Contractors is meticulously assessing the damage. Our evaluation revealed not only major structural and mechanical impairments, but also critical issues with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, roofing, siding, and insulation.
Recognizing the urgency of maintaining uninterrupted production, we are prioritizing a comprehensive restoration plan designed to address every facet of the facility’s condition. This strategic approach ensures a swift, effective, and safe path to restoring operations.
With more than 30 years of emergency recovery experience, DANE Contractors is proud to deliver high-quality restoration services under pressure—helping businesses rebound quickly while minimizing disruption to vital manufacturing processes.
Project Assessment
Our team is addressing both fire and water damage simultaneously, stabilizing the facility and preparing the path toward full restoration.
In addition to the severe fire damage, extensive water damage from fire suppression efforts has compounded the challenge—impacting structures, electrical systems, and vital equipment.
At DANE Contractors, we’re advancing through the recovery process with precision. Our team is addressing both fire and water damage simultaneously, stabilizing the facility and preparing the path toward full restoration.
Every step forward demonstrates our commitment to helping businesses rebound quickly and safely after disaster strikes.
Stabilizing Before Rebuilding
Before any restoration or reconstruction can begin, shoring is the critical first step.
Our team at DANE Contractors is on-site at a large industrial manufacturing facility that recently sustained significant fire and water damage.
Before any restoration or reconstruction can begin, shoring is the critical first step.
Shoring provides essential structural support to weakened areas—ensuring safety for crews, preventing further collapse, and allowing engineers to assess and plan recovery with precision.
It’s one of the most important measures we take to protect both people and property in the aftermath of disaster.
At DANE Contractors, we don’t just rebuild structures—we restore stability, confidence, and continuity for the businesses that drive our communitie
Demolition Phase
Before any restoration or reconstruction can begin, shoring is the critical first step.
61 days into this large-loss insurance restoration project, our team at DANE Contractors has reached a major milestone.
After extensive assessment and structural evaluations, 40% of the facility has been deemed non-salvageable and is now being prepped for large-scale demolition.
Our aerial inspections have provided a clear, comprehensive view of the impacted areas—allowing our crews to plan safely, strategically, and efficiently.
Despite the severity of the loss, we’re proud to share that our client’s business operations have already been fully restored to 100% capacity and weathered in, ensuring they can continue moving forward without interruption.
As demolition begins, our team will continue to execute with precision, safety, and unwavering commitment to restoring this facility to full strength.
DANE Contractors demo team is now on the ground and in full force.
Excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks are working in sync—removing debris, clearing compromised structures, and safely bringing down the non-salvageable sections of the facility. Every bucket, lift, and haul is a step toward full restoration.
This phase is all about precision, safety, and momentum. Our crews are operating with purpose to keep the project advancing and ensure the site is fully prepared for reconstruction.
From assessment ➝ to planning ➝ to demolition… the road to rebuild continues.
Here's an on-the-ground look at our cleanup and demolition team in action as they work through the non-salvageable section of this industrial facility.
Excavators and loaders are actively removing debris, bringing down compromised structures, and clearing the site for the next phase of restoration. You’ll also notice our crews hosing down the work area—a standard safety practice to minimize particulate matter, control dust, and maintain a cleaner, safer environment throughout demolition.
Every step is executed with precision and care as we move this large-loss restoration forward.
